This is the end
you’re sitting next to me right now near our beautiful private pool. In a few hours we’ll both be boarding our planes and we’ll fly home on the same route simultaneously but not on the same plane. That’s interesting isn’t it?
These few months have been filled with things I’ve never seen before and people I would have never met. We took so many pictures and did some very exciting things. But just as you said, I’m ready to go home. When you’re away from home for a longer time, you start to appreciate your own country and safe haven a little more. I’m excited to see my family and friends again and I’m very eager to see my best furry friend. I also long to live a more simple life for the up and coming months. Travel is filled with craziness and it’s very hectic sometimes. But for now I think I’ll find most joy in the simplicity of things: going on a little day trip, cooking with friends or snuggling up on the couch with a cup of tea. I’m looking forward to that. I am also looking forward to cheese. A lot.
I don’t really have a plan for the next few months, except for getting back to my normal life. But honestly, that doesn’t sound too bad at all. I know that I have some things to figure out and I’ll take my time for that. You see, travel can make things clearer and other things very unclear at the same time. But I guess I’ll figure it all out eventually.
I’m gonna wrap this up now because I want to take one last jump in the pool. I need to enjoy this while I still can 🍍. I’ll see you at home, 12 000 kilometers away from here. That must be weird as well, but I’m sure we’ll have fun.
